CMCF1 has recently invested in “Shamsuna” a 10MW Solar PV Project in Aqaba, Jordan. Shamsuna signed a 20 year-long Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the National Electric Power Company (NEPCO) in March of 2014. The 10MW Project with the Commercial Operations Date (COD) early 2016 is on a 180,000 m2 land located within the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA). Lying within the sun-intensive Solar Belt, and with a yearly Global Horizontal Irrandiance (GHI) sum of up to 2400 kWh/m2, Shamsuna’s Aqaba Project has ideal conditions for solar energy production.

The project will avoid over 10.000 Tons of CO2 Emissions per year and supply energy to cover the demand of more than 9.000 households.
